More world news to report

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 6:38 am

Hi everyone! Well, it’s been 2 weeks since I last checked in, and during that time I’ve discovered lots more amazing stuff about the world around me! A sampling:

There is a really cool picture above my mommy and daddy’s bed. The wall is white, and the frame and picture are kinda dark, so I like to look at it a lot. Mommy will hold me on her lap, leaning with my back on her bent knees, so I can get a good view. This can keep me occupied for 20 minutes! She told me it’s a painting by a guy named “Monet”, and then tried singing a song about “Monet Monet”, at which point I sorta kinda smiled (well, at least she thinks I did). She told my daddy that I was a Billy Idol fan, apparently, and he laughed. Didn’t make any sense to me, but hey if it made the parents happy!

Bathtime is fun - I get to sit in a Sutter-sized bathtub on the bathroom counter, and I can watch myself in the mirror while Mommy bathes me. Big brother helps by bringing in my towel and washcloth and throwing them to Mommy, and then he watches from his stepstool and plays hide and seek from behind the towels hanging on the rack. He’s so silly!

There is this thing attached to my arm that I can chew on when I’m hungry - I think it belongs to me, because it’s always there when I need it. Daddy called it my fist - I like it a lot! It’s quite tasty!

When it’s time for me to ride in the car, my mommy or daddy put me in this little seat and then pull these strappy things on me and tuck me under a blanket and smoosh a hat on my head. Next thing you know, I’m hovering mid-air from the house to the car! I don’t think I’m flying, but it is odd to be carried like that. I think my parents are the geniuses behind it - they must be magic!

I still continue to be easygoing, but my social side is definitely coming out to play! If I’m sitting in my bouncy chair or laying on the blankie for too long, I get very fussy and want someone to come pick me up RIGHT THEN. Along with my social side, my neck is getting stronger too, so generally when I am being held I also want to be upright, so I can get a good look around at what’s going on behind that grownup’s back. (It’s a great way to see the kitchen and the big lights in there!)

My hair is getting lighter in color and growing longer, soon I’ll have funny chicken feather hair like my mommy did as a baby! I’m a stylin’ dude!

Well, that’s it for now. I’m sure I’ll have more to report soon, but at the moment I think I feel like another nap would be nice…
